Admissions
All referral papers to the school come via the Local Authority (LA). The LA is the admission body for all special schools. They always consult with the school's leadership team to ensure that the pupil's needs can be met at the school.
All children at Billing Brook have an existing Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). The provision outlined in a plan should reflect the provision offered by school.
Important Update: Reception (EYFS) Class - September 2026
We would like to inform families that, unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a Reception (EYFS) class in September 2026.
- Increase in admissions: Over the past year, we have experienced a dramatic rise in applications across other year groups and despite exploring all possible options, we do not have the physical capacity to accomodate a Reception class for the upcoming academic year.
We understand this may be disappointing news for families hoping to join our school in Reception. Please be assured that this decision has been made only after careful consideration of our resources and our commitment to maintaining high-quality provision for all pupils currently in our care.
We remain dedicated to supporting children with special educational needs and their families, and we encourage parents to contact the local authority for guidance on alternative Reception placements for September 2026.
