Digital leaders
The Childnet Digital Leaders Programme is a youth leadership training programme empowering young people to educate their peers about online safety.
Childnet is a leading online safety charity with a mission to make the internet a great and safe place for children and young people. They are the only online safety charity in the UK delivering an online peer-to-peer training programme that directly helps education settings embed a comprehensive approach to online safety.
At Billing Brook our Digital Leaders complete training on an interactive, informative and fun platform. They work through online modules, equipping them with the skills they need to go on to educate and support their peers.
After completing the training the pupils will meet regularly throughout the year to discuss matters regarding online safety. They will also be available for their peers to speak to and support in matters online. Alongside this it is an expectation of all Digital leaders to be role models to pupils in school and ensure that their own conduct online is appropriate and positive.
