Evidence for Learning
Evidence for Learning (EfL) supports an Inquiry-based approach to education and provision, that allows ALL stakeholders in a child, young person or adult’s learning and development to quickly and easily gather photo and video evidence, linked to the individual’s learning goals as well as any key skills frameworks.
Observations can be annotated and tagged to reflect your school’s basket of indicators in an instant.
Evidence for Learning supports ANY assessment framework and ANY assessment model – including evidencing and tracking progress against individual learning goals related to Education Health & Care (EHC) Plans. As teachers we can also easily amend and add to these goals over time in order to respond to a learners’ ongoing needs and development.
At Billing Brook we use Evidence for Learning primarily to support the evidencing and progress towards EHCP outcomes. However much of the learning across the curriculum can also be captured using this, both in and out of the classroom.
We agree, with parents, yearly short steps which work towards the overall long term EHCP outcome. This short step is evidenced against throughout the year, providing a baseline judgement, as well as evidence and comments at regular points across the year.
The recent addition of insights to the EfL app at Billing Brook means we are able to gather data using our assessment schema (described below).
